Does the TiVo media device support the new HD channels?

Yes! With two HD tuners, your TiVo media device can already receive the HD versions of TV One, TV2 and TV3. And the TiVo media device will also receive new HD channels when they go on air.

Do I need a new television to use my TiVo media device?

Standard definition pictures can be displayed on any TV. But if you want to get the best of what TiVo and Freeview|HD® can offer, you'll need a high definition TV, an HDMI connection and an HDMI cable (sold separately). Check your TV for an "HD ready" or "Freeview|HD®" sticker.

Do I need special cables or extra equipment to view HD TV on my TiVo media device?

For high definition pictures, you will need to connect your TiVo media device to your TV using an HDMI cable (sold separately). Check with your retailer to ensure your TV supports HDMI.

Is Freeview|HD® available right across New Zealand?

The Freeview|HD® (digital terrestrial TV) service reaches 75% of the population, so it's important to check that you are in a Freeview|HD® coverage area. The coverage areas include nine major centres:
